Healing of Silent Memories

Desmond Complex

Newcastle West Bereavement support group are hosting a ceremony for the naming of babies/children who have died as a result of miscarriage, stillbirth or sudden infant death in the Church of the Immaculate Conception Newcastle West on Wednesday, June 6th at 7.30pm. All are very welcome to attend.

Pioneers if you are eligible for either your Silver or Gold pin and would like it presented to you on Friday 15th June, Feast of the Sacred Heart 7.30pm. Mass, contact Maureen 087 9845102 to order same. There will be light refreshments afterwards in the Parish Pastoral Centre situated in the Church Car Park.

Motor Cycle Grass Track Templeglantine - History in the making on Sunday 3rd June, Billy Riordan's farm in Tullig. Also lots of family entertainment bouncing castle, face painting etc. Admission €5.


Day Trip to West Cork on Sunday 17th June, leaving the Courtney Lodge Hotel at 8.30.am on board Brouder's Luxury Coach. First stop will be for breakfast in Dunmanway at the Parkway Hotel where will return in the evening for choice of menu dinner. Summer Fair:- The Annual Feohanagh/Castlemahon Summer Fair will take place in Coolyroe this Sunday, May 27th 2012 at 1pm. Your support would be greatly appreciated.


Alzheimer Tea Day NCW:- A big thank you to all who contributed and helped to make this year's Tea Day such a success. The total raised was €2,130 which has been sent to the Alzheimer Society of Ireland. Thanks to all who baked and provided the great range of goodies, to the volunteers who gave many hours of help, to David and Claire Geary for the use of the Red Door and finally mile buiochas to all who called in and supported the Alzheimer Society on the day.

Thank you from Trocaire:- Sincere thanks to all who contributed so generously to the Trocaire Lenten Campaign this year. The final figure raised is €13,656.50.

Everyone had a most enjoyable time in Mayo and the highlight of our holiday or one of them was in Cong the 'Quiet Man Experience' a man named Michael Collins takes groups around to all the locations that were used in the film and picks people from the group to act out that particular scene - it was hilarious. Our next time away will be on Friday 19th Oct to Monday 22nd Oct. Our Dancing Weekend. It was a great success last year.
