The 50th Anniversary of the opening of Derreens Church Achill will be celebrated on Saturday the 5th June the day will begin with 12 o clock mass which will be celebrated by Archbishop Michael Neary of Tuam followed by a gathering in Pattens bar Later in the evening there will be a social event whereby a book celebrating 50 years of the church will go on sale. for more information on the event you can contact Michael patten at 098 45172 or Noirin Gannon at 086 3836078
