Next Thursday is the Day for Prayer for Marriage and Family Life.

Bekan Parish Pastoral Council meeting will be held in the Parochial House, Bekan this Monday, Nov. 21st at 8p.m. All members are requested to attend.

November Masses for the Holy Souls continue. Envelopes are available at the back of the churches if you wish to include your deceased family members in these masses.
Masses for the Bereaved and the Holy Souls will be offered:
Bekan – Tuesday, November 22nd at 7.30p.m
All who died during the past year will be remembered especially and their
bereaved families at these Masses. Candles will be available to those who would like to have one lit and placed at the Altar during Mass.

Stations in the Bekan side of the Parish will take place this Autumn.
Please let me know if you would like to host the Station Mass in your home in order that a date and time can be arranged.

Brickens Community Centre:
Mon: Keep Fit 8 – 9.30p.m Tue: 25 Card Drive at 9p.m.
Wed: Keep Fit 8 – 9.30p.m Sat: Bingo at 9p.m.

A meeting to arrange the Brickens Annual Christmas Party will be held in Brickens Community Centre next Wednesday night, Nov. 23rd at 9.15p.m. Your help would be much appreciated.

The A.G.M. of Eastern Gaels G.A.A. Club will be held in Brickens Community Centre next Saturday at 6p.m. All existing and new members are welcome.

Irish Heart Foundation Church Gate Collection is being held this weekend, Nov. 19th /20th. Your support would be appreciated.

Bekan Defib Group would like to let everyone know that there are defibrillators available for use at Duffys Cross, the Community Centre, Larganboy and at Lannons. The other 3 have been sent for an annual service and will be
re-installed asap. Those who were trained in April will have a revalidation evening in the near future. Also a list has been compiled of names and phone numbers of those trained in the area and it will be circulated in due course . Thanks
We, The Active Age Commitee would like to sincerely thank the Musicians and everyone who supported the Irish night. The Bekan Active Age Christmas party is on 11th Dec. 2011.

There is a position available at Lohan Park ‘Meals on Wheels’. To be eligible the applicant must be in receipt of a Social Welfare Payment and hold a clean and full Drivers Licence. Please contact 094 9380910.
