Church Gate Collections:
From time to time some parishioners express concerns about Church gate collections.
The regulation of Church gate collections is a matter for An Garda Siochana, not the parish.
All collections in public areas, including those outside churches, require a Garda permit.
With regard to church property, please note that
• Only the St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Apostolic Work Association have permission to collect on Church property.
• No group has permission to affix posters or advertising to Church Property.
Finally, we would appeal to all collectors to respect the right of free passage to all entering and leaving the Church.
We acknowledge and appreciate the co-operation of the vast majority of the many worthy bodies who organise such collections outside our church grounds.

Louisburgh/Killeen Gun Club: A.G.M. will be held in Killeen Community Centre Monday 22 August at 9.00 p.m.

The New Missal. The Irish Bishops and other English speaking Bishops’ Conferences have decided to introduce a New Missal for the celebration of Mass. There will be some changes in the prayers said by the congregation while most of the prayers said by the priest will have substantial changes. The changes for the congregation will start on Sunday 11 September and from 27 November, First Sunday of Advent, the new Missal will be introduced in its entirety.
