November Mass for the Dead in remembrance of all those of our parish who died during the past year will be celebrated on Friday, 11 November, at 7.30 p.m. in Killeen Church.

November Masses for the Dead: During November our deceased will be remembered and prayed for. If you wish to list members of your family or friends please use the November Mass lists provided. These people will be prayed for at all Masses that will be celebrated during the month of November in Louisburgh and Killeen Churches. Please do not leave any offering with these lists. It is important to note that all the dead are prayed for and included in all Masses.

Tender for Louisburgh Church Painting:
Tenders are invited from suitably qualified painting contractors for the painting of the interior of St Patrick's Church Louisburgh. Documentation may be obtained by calling to the parish office on Mondays and Thursdays between 10.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. or calling 66198. Tenders must be returned by 2.00 p.m. on Friday 04 November.

Parish Weekly Envelope Collections are used for the upkeep of parish property and the day to day running expenses of the parish. A revised and updated list of contributors is being prepared for 2012. If you have not used the envelopes in the past and would like to contribute during the coming year using the envelopes please return the attached form to the Church. The 2012 envelopes will be distributed during November.

Sponsor a child in Eldoret, To feed, cloth and educate a child for a year in Eldoret costs €50. You can lodge the money directly in the Credit Union or you can give a donation to any member of the committee

Shine A Light: You can now sponsor a light on the Tree of light in Knock to give to someone you know living or deceased as a Christmas gift. Cards are available now at local pharmacies, hospice support groups, hospice shops and by contacting 0949388666.Proceeds to local Hospice services.

Social Dancing in the Ocean Lodge on Wednesday nights, Join in or learn to Jive, Waltz, Foxtrot etc. From 8.30 p.m. till 10.00p.m. €3 per Person or €5 per couple. Monies collected will be given to a Local charity/organisation.

Christmas Shoebox Appeal: Leaflets are available in the back of the church to fill Christmas shoeboxes for needy children around the world. Please leave completed boxes in Louisburgh or Killeen church porch to be collected after Mass on Sunday November 13th. Contact Sue at 66009 if you have any questions.

Mayo Cancer Support, Rock Rose House, Castlebar will hold Support Group meeting for all who may be going through a cancer diagnosis or surviving cancer, on Thursday 03 November at 8.00pm. Further information from 094 9038407.

Prayers for November: Remembering Loved Ones – a Prayer service for the Home
Opening Prayer:
Compassionate Lord, someone we love has been taken from us, someone precious and irreplaceable, and we know that there are no words that we can say at this moment to express what we are feeling, no words can alleviate our sorrow or take away our pain.
So we turn to you to express the grief, the pain, the emptiness, the loneliness, the fear, the uncertainty that still at times threatens to overwhelm us.
We come bringing these feelings honestly before you and ask for strength in times of darkness. Hold on to us even when we find it hard to hold on to you. Be very near, even when we feel you to be very far away. Support us in the weeks, months and, yes, even the years ahead. Grant us the comfort you have promised, until the time finally comes when we can look back, not just with pain, but with thanksgiving, not just with sorrow but with joy.

We remember in love those who have died, let us bring our prayers to the God of hope.
• For this family that we may never forget those who have died and that through prayer we may remain united with them. Lord hear us.
• For those close to death that they may feel the comforting presence of the Lord in their time of need. Lord hear us.
• For those we remember today in prayer ...... that we may be re-united with them in the
peace of the kingdom. Lord hear us.
• For those who mourn, that they be uplifted by the love of friends and family and the power of prayer. Lord hear us.

May the Lord support us all the day long ‘til the shadows lengthen and the evening comes and the busy world is hushed and the fever of life is done.
