Sympathy extended
The sympathy of the community is extended to the Munroe family, Kilmaine Village on the death of Jonathan aged 19 years who died on June 26. Jonathan was the eldest child to Luke and Linda, brother to Hayley, Melanie, Darren, Kyle, Kelsey, Regan and Luke and grandson to Tom and Philis Munroe.
His remains were in repose at Craddock's funeral home Shrule on Tuesday June 28 with removal to St. Patrick's Church, Kilmaine. Burial took place on Wednesday after 12 noon mass to Kilmaine cemetery. May God give him eternal rest.


Kilmaine GAA Lotto
There was no winner of the €19,400 Jackpot in the Kilmaine GAA Lotto draw on Saturday night July 2. The draw took place in Maloney's Bar and the numbers drawn were 8, 18, 31 and 33.
The €30 winners were Vinnie Walsh, Clyard, Mary Murphy, Church Road, and Geoffrey Sheridan, Tullyduff.
The annual prizes were won by Tom Conroy , Headford, and Catherine McDonnell, Rausakeera.
The house prize winners were won by Andrew Casey, and David Doherty.


Shrule- Glencorrib GAA Lotto
There was no winner of the €11,500 Jackpot lotto draw held on June 27. The draw took place in Jack Gibbon's Bar.
The numbers drawn were 9, 13, 17 and 28.
The Lucky Dip Winners of €50 each were Joe Conneely, Shrule P.O and Brendan Kinneavy, Rosmuc.
The Annual Subscribers Lucky Dip Winners of €30 each were Pat Flood, Ballynalty, and David Ryan, Dalgan.

Children's Activities Evening

Children's activities evening is starting in Glencorrib / Kilroe community centre on Friday evenings from 7-9pm. The activities include board games, card games, art and crafts and lots more. This is suitable for all Primary school age children and admission is €3 per child with full supervision each night. Metal Collection
Kilmaine G.A.A. club is providing a free waste metal collection over the next few weeks to help raise funds for the club. All unwanted metals such as old gates, sheeting, cars, tractor batteries and old machinery are all welcome. Sympathy
Sympathy is extended to Mrs Bridget McDonagh, Carrowturly Kilmaine on the death of her brother Michael Finnerty of Cloonbar, Kilconly. His remains were in repose at Glynn's Funeral Home Tuam on Tuesday June 28 with removal to St. Conleth's Church Kilconly. Requiem Mass took place on Wednesday morning with burial to Kilconly cemetery. May he rest in peace.


Shrule / Glencorrib Cul Camps
The Shrule / Glencorrib VHI Cul Camps will be held in Glencorrib starting on 18 – 22 July. The camps are for boys and girls aged 6-13 years. Art Classes
Are you interested in attending art classes with a professional artist Diana Pivovarova. The classes are free, but the students will have to pay for the cost of materials used in the class. The classes will be held in the Solas room at St Fursa's Community Centre Headford, starting on July 18 at 7pm. Classes are limited to eight people so if you wish to register you can drop into the Solas Resource Centre, Main Street in Headford or phone 093 36446.Diana is originally from Latvia and now lives in Ballynalty. Kilmaine Scribbles Playgroup Ltd. has a vacancy for the position of Full-Time Preschool /Full Day Care Leader. Candidates should have a childcare qualification at Fetac Level 6 or equivalent, and a minimum of 2 years experience of working in a childcare setting. Further training in an approach to Early Childhood Care and Education (e.g. Montessori, Highscope etc), as well as training in First Aid and Child Protection, would be an advantage.
