Lorraine has the Winning Streak
Congratulations to Lorraine Costello (nee O’Connor), Ballinrobe on her big money win on the television program Winning Streak on Saturday October 8. Lorraine works in administration at McHale Farm Machinery, Kilmaine Village and is currently on maternity leave with her seven week old baby girl. We wish Lorraine every success and happiness with her winnings.

Kilmaine GAA Lotto
There was no winner of the €13,500 Jackpot in the Kilmaine GAA Lotto draw on Saturday night October 8. The draw took place in Harry Walsh's Bar and the numbers drawn were 18, 27, 32, and 34.
As the jackpot was not won a Super Split Draw took place on the night where €6,500 in cash prizes was given away. The winners were:

Scrap Metal
Kilmaine G.A.A. club is providing a free waste metal collection to help raise funds for the club. All unwanted metals such as old gates, sheeting, cars, tractor batteries and old machinery are all welcome. Shrule- Glencorrib GAA Club Lotto
There was no winner of the €12,900 Jackpot Lotto held on October 3.
The draw took place in The Highway Bar. The numbers drawn were 7, 11, 17 and 30. Lucky Dip Winners of €50 each: Matt Walsh, Brodella and Cormac Duffy, Glencorrib.

Shrule- Glencorrib GAA Metal Collection
A waste scrap metal collection fundraiser event will take place on Saturday October 22 and Sunday October 23. Anyone with scrap metal for collection can phone Pauric Hennelly on 086 1004592 who will arrange collection. All proceeds go to the club.

Table Quiz
A Table Quiz will be held in Shrule Community Centre on Friday October 28 at 8.30pm.

Ceili Mor
Put on your dancing shoes for the Shrule Ceili held on Saturday Night October 29 in Shrule Community Centre. Music is by Copperplate Ceili Band. A great nights dancing is assured. Dancing from 10pm – 1am.

No Name Club
Headford & District No Name Club is now taking new members (Junior Cert- Leaving Cert students) for the coming year. Contact Noreen on 087-3524096 or if you wish to get an application form in the office at the Presentation College Headford.


Film Club
Glencorrib Film Club will have its first meeting in Glencorrib Community Centre on Wednesday September 19 at 8pm. All are invited.


Over 55s Club
If you are 55 + and from the general area of Glencorrib or neighbouring parishes, then a new club is being set up that may interest you. An over 55s club information morning in conjunction with relevant organisations will meet in Glencorrib Community Centre for the very first time on Tuesday October 25 at 11.00 am. Norita Clesham from Leader will be in attendance to offer any advice and suggestions. The agenda for the first meeting will be an information gathering one. You are invited to drop in and find out what's being planned and make some of your own suggestions. This is completely new territory for us here in Glencorrib and as your input would be greatly appreciated. We look forward to seeing you.

The popular Card Games will recommences in Glencorrib Community Centre on Wednesday night October 19 starting at 8.30pm.

Launch of Rambling Rogues CD
Good luck to Paul Clesham and his band ‘The Rambling Rogues’ who will launch their new CD in Bourke's of Irishtown on next Friday night October 14. Paul is proud grandson of Bridgie Donoghue, Glencorrib. Well done!

Shrule / Glencorrib Bord Na Og Club Fundraising Results
The draw was held on Sunday October 2 at12 noon in Glencorrib Community Sportsfield:

We would like to thank everyone for their support with the draw and it was a great success. A total of €3,400 was raised by all the players.

Ballinrobe Healthy Heart Initiative
Local Heart and Stroke Charity Croi in partnership with HSE West Mayo will hold a one-day Healthy Heart Initiative in Ballinrobe as part of their ‘Heart Smart’ Mayo programme. People will have an opportunity to have a free “Heart Smart “check up on Tues October 25 in the Tacu centre from 9.30am-4pm.
