Wedding Bells
Congratulations to Sandra Molloy and Jason Gibbons who were married on Friday November 11 in Robeen Church followed by a reception in The Pontoon Bridge Hotel. Sandra is the Playschool manager in Scribbles Playgroup, Kilmaine. We wish them both a long life of health and happiness.

Kilmaine GAA Lotto
There was no winner of the €5,300 Jackpot in the Kilmaine GAA Lotto draw on Saturday November 12. The draw took place in Helen Macken's Bar and the numbers drawn were
13, 25, 27, and 34. The €30 winners were Declan Hughes, Lehinch, Hollymount, Mattie Maye, Fortvilla and Martin Casey, Cahermaculick. The annual prizes were won by Brendan Dooley, Castlebar and Callum Gaughan, Belmullet.
The house prize winners were won by Hayley Elbert and Ann Maloney.

Graduation Wishes
Congratulations to Alma Murphy, Frenchbrook, Kilmaine, daughter of Pat and Loretta who graduated from the GMIT Galway with a bachelor business degree in Customer and Retail Management. Best wishes Alma for the future!

“Strictly Come Dancing” in Kilmaine
Remember places are limited for the upcoming show of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ which is coming to Kilmaine in the next few months. The night promises to be great fun and one to remember! The organising committee are currently looking for couples to take part and don’t worry if your dancing is a bit rusty because there will be plenty of lessons before the event!
If you are interested in taking part please contact Padraig Varley on 087 7767961 or email kilmainegaa@gmail.com as soon as possible, however please keep in mind that lessons will take place in the Kilmaine area so you will need to be able to travel there at least once a week. Michael John says thanks!
Michael John Mullin, Kilkeeran, Kilmaine would like to thank each and everyone for their generous sponsorship, donations and support towards his recent trip to Osu in Ghana. The proceeds from the fundraising were directly applied to refurbish and rewire a school which opened last September for 500 pupils. The trip was a great success and a sincere thank you to everyone for their generosity and support. It was very much appreciated.



Sympathies
The sympathy of the community is extended to the Burke Family on the death of Tom Burke, Ardmoran, Kilmaine. To his mother Chrisie, his sisters Marion (Dublin), Ann (Shrule), Louise (Galway), his brother Mike (Ardmoran), sister in law, brothers in law, nieces and nephews , neighbours and friends. His remains were in repose at his home on Friday November 11. Removal took place on Saturday to St Patrick's Church, Kilmaine for 1pm Mass with burial afterwards to Kilmaine cemetery.
Also to the Macken Family on the death of Johnny Macken, Dooroy, Kilmaine who died peacefully at the Mayo General Hospital. His remains were in repose at Cummins’ Funeral home, Ballinrobe on Monday November 14 with removal to St Patrick's Church, Kilmaine. Burial took place on Tuesday November 15 after 12 noon Mass to Kilmaine Cemetery. May they rest in peace.


Shrule- Glencorrib GAA Club Lotto
There was no winner of the €13,400 Jackpot Lotto held on November 7.
The draw took place in The Shawl Bar. The numbers drawn were 7, 17, 20 and 31.
Lucky Dip Winners of €50 each were Mary Hannon, Tuam & Danielle Forde, Annaghdown.

Kilmaine Cemeteries
The graveyard committee wish to inform the public that Mayo County Council are no longer emptying skips in graveyards. In future skips must be emptied privately. This can be costly due to weight, so now the graveyard committee are asking people not to put stones or clay in the skip. As and from today all stones and clay must be removed from the graveyard by the gravediggers or the owners of the graves.


AL-ANON Meeting
Al – Anon Family Group Meeting will be held in Crann Mor Centre, Ballinrobe on Sunday nights starting at 8.30pm.Al-anon is a support group for anybody whose life is affected by anyone else's drinking.

Care and Repair Programme
Clar ICH's Care and Repair Programme carries out minor repairs in the homes of older people. If you are an older person living alone and need a small job completed, please contact Clar ICH on 094 9373455. Jobs range from replacing light bulbs to fitting door chains and spy – holes or smoke alarms, putting up shelves etc. Jobs should take no more than an hour and a half. Clar ICH is a Voluntary Housing Association located in Claremorris, Co. Mayo. Care and Repair is a franchise of Age Action and is delivered in association with the Rural Social Scheme, administered by South West Mayo Development and Tus.

Pioneer News
The Glencorrib Pioneer Centre would like to thank all those who contributed to their church gate collection. A total of €354.30 was donated. Many thanks for your generosity.

Tree Lighting Ceremony
The Tree Lighting ceremony for Let Love Shine a light in aid of Mayo Roscommon Hospice takes place in Knock on Sunday December 4 at 5.45 pm. All are welcome. Shine a light cards are now available at local chemists, the shrine office Knock or by contacting 0949388666.
