LETTER FROM HEAVEN
To my dearest family, some things I would like to say,
but first of all, to let you know that I arrived ok.
I’m writing this from Heaven where I dwell with God above,
here there's no more tears or sadness there is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I’m out of sight.
Remember that I’m with you every morning, noon, and night.
That day that I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, I welcome you.
It's good to have you back again you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest; family they’ll be here later on.
I need you here so badly as part of my big plan.
There's so much that we have to do to help our mortal man.
Then God gave me a list of things He wished for me to do.
And foremost on that list of mine is to watch and care for you.
And I will be beside you every day and week and year.
And when you’re sad, I’m standing there to wipe away the tears.
And when you lie in bed at night the days chore put to flight,
God and I are closest to you In the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth and all those loving years,
because you’re only human they’re bound to bring you tears
But do not be afraid to cry it does relieve the pain.
Remember, there would be no flowers unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you of all that God has planned,
but if I were to tell you, you would not understand.
And to my many friends trust, God knows what it best.
I’m still not very far away from you I’m just beyond the crest.
And now I am contented that my life, it was worthwhile.
Knowing as I passed along the way I made someone smile.
When you’re walking down the street and you’ve got me on your mind,
I’m walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when you feel that gentle breeze or the wind upon your face,
that's me giving you a great big hug or just a soft embrace.
And when it's time for you to go from that body to be free,
Remember, you’re not going, you are coming here to me.
And I will always love you from that land way up above.
I’ll be in touch again soon, P.S. GOD SENDS HIS LOVE!

FEAST DAYS OF THE WEEK – THE LIVES OF THE SAINTS
Mon 14th Nov St. Lawrence O’Toole, (Kildare) 1128-80.
Ordered to accept the archbishopric of Dublin, the first Irishman to hold it. Rebuilt Christ Church Cathedral. He travelled to Canterbury on diocesan business and while preparing for Mass he was attacked by a lunatic who wanted to make Lawrence another St Thomas Beckett. Everyone in the church thought Lawrence had been killed. Instead he asked for water, blessed it, and washed the wound; the bleeding stopped and he celebrated Mass. Died while travelling with King Henry II, as a peacemaker and on behalf of Rory O’Connor.
Tue 15th Nov St. Albert the Great, (Germany), 1206-80.
Son of a military nobleman. Dominican. Priest. Taught theology at Cologne and Paris. Teacher of St Thomas Aquinas. Influential teacher, preacher, administrator. Bishop of Regensburg. Known for his wide interest in what became known later as the natural sciences - botany, biology, etc. Wrote and illustrated guides to his observations, and was considered on a par with Aristotle as an authority on these matters. Patron of scientists, schoolchildren, and World Youth Day
Wed 16th Nov St. Margaret of Scotland. (Hungary) 1045-93.
Granddaughter of an English King. She was born in Hungary while her family was in exile due to the Danish invasion of England . She spent much of her youth in the British Isles. While fleeing the invading army of William the Conqueror in 1066 her family's ship was wrecked on the Scottish coast. They were assisted by King Malcolm III of Scotland, whom Margaret married in 1070. They had eight children, one of whom was St Maud, wife of Henry I. Margaret founded abbeys and worked for justice and the poor.
Thu 17th Nov St. Elizabeth of Hungary. (Hungary). 1207-31.
Princess. She married Prince Louis at age 13. Built a hospital at the foot of the mountain on which her castle stood; tended to the sick herself. Once when she was taking food to the poor and sick, Prince Louis stopped her and looked under her mantle to see what she was carrying; the food had been miraculously changed to roses. Upon Louis' death, Elizabeth sold all that she had, and worked to support her four children. Her gifts of bread to the poor to a famine stricken Germany, led to her patronage of bakers.
Fri 18th Nov St. Philippine Duchesne. (France) 1769-1852.
Sacred Heart Nun. Missionary in USA. She was ever concerned about the plight of Native Americans, and much of her work was devoted to educating them, caring for their sick, and working against alcohol abuse. Finally able to retire from her administrative duties Mother Duchesne evangelised the Pottowatomies in the Rocky Mountains at age 71, and taught young girls of the tribe. She was known as "Woman-Who-Prays-Always".
Sat 19th Nov St. Hugh of Lincoln. (France) 1135-1200.
He became abbot of the first English Carthusian monastery, which was built by King Henry II as part of his penance for the murder of Thomas Becket. His reputation for holiness spread through England & attracted many to the monastery. He admonished Henry for keeping dioceses vacant in order to keep their income for the throne. Denounced the mass persecution of Jews in England in 1190-91, repeatedly facing down armed mobs, making them release their victims. Patron of sick children and swans.
