Mayo Folklore Local Training initiative: located in Foxford, have places available for the coming year. Are you in receipt of a social welfare payment? If so, you should be eligible to apply. Participants are involved in collecting folklore in the local area and are offered the chance to complete accredited I.T training in a non threatening environment from beginners upwards. Swinford Ladies Celebration Banquet: will hold their Annual Celebration Banquet on Saturday January 30th in Breaffy House. The winning Senior and Minor teams will be presented with their medals on the night. Other awards such as the Players of the Year and the final Club All Stars Team of the decade will be unveiled on the night. Nominees for these awards will be published next week. Music will be provided by Mystic Music and the MC for the night will be Midwest Radios’ Angelina Nugent. Tickets are now available from Club Officers. Bus transport will be provided. We hope that you can come along and join in the celebrations. Meelick ICA: The monthly meeting of the Guild will be held in the Meelick Community Centre on Wed. 20th Jan. at 8.30 pm. Keep Fit Classes Return: The Gateway Hotel this Monday night the 18th January at 8.00 pm. There is no joining fee and no missed class fee and the class is open to women of all age groups. There is an optional weigh in session followed by a short motivational talk and 30 minutes of exercise. The class is enjoyable and will help you lose weight and get fit for 2010.
