Preparing for Christmas: Guided prayer with an Advent theme based on Scripture will take place in Swinford Church for the four Sundays of Advent commencing 30th Nov. at 5 pm.

A limited supply of Richard King Appreciation Society Christmas cards will be available shortly in local shops & in the parish church. Meeting to organise this and the decoration of the church for Christmas will be held in Canon Joyce’s house on Mon. 24th Nov. at 8 pm.

Family Law Talk: Solicitor Deirdre McHugh will conduct a talk on family law in the Gateway Hotel, on Thur. Nov. 27th at 7.30 pm. She will include topics such as Wills & Death.

Credit Union: The next Members Draw will take place at the AGM which is provisionally booked for Tues. 9th Dec. in the Gateway Hotel. The first prize is a Toyota Yaris & there will be several cash prizes. Members are automatically included if they have already signed the application. If you are unsure just call into the Office before 2nd Dec. The usual terms and conditions apply.
The first AGM of Midfield Development Association will take place on Mon. Dec. 1st at Midfield N. S. at 9 pm. All interested community members are welcome. There will also be a report on defibrillator training that is taking place on Nov. 23rd in Julian's
Swinford G.A.A. Club will be holding their AGM on Sun. 30th Nov. at 5 p.m. in the Gateway Hotel. All members are asked to attend . Membership for the forthcoming year can also be paid .
Swinford Parent & Toddler Club will meet weekly on Sat. mornings from 11 am-12.30 pm in the back function room of the Gateway Hotel. All parents & toddlers are welcome.
Swinford & District Gardening Club will present, Florist Judy Fallon to give demonstration on floral arrangements in the Gateway Hotel on Wed. 26th Nov. at 8 pm. Everybody Welcome.
The local members of St. Vincent De Paul would like to thank all those who contributed to their annual Christmas appeal. This money will be put to good use in our locality . The holy sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for those who very kindly donated .
