Inniskeen Young At Heart are holding their first meeting in the new year on Wednesday 18th January at 7pm in Inniskeen Community Centre. Please bring membership fee. We are open to anyone over 45years and have time on their hands. Old and new members are very welcome back after Christmas break.

The Committee wish to thank all who supported our Christmas/New Year program, The Blackstaff Parents Committee's Hamper The Pitch and Putt membership donations for our draw. VEC Sensory Garden course: Monaghan VEC, in conjunction with Carrick Community Childcare, are running a free Sensory Garden course for parents/carers of children with Special Needs. Learn how to create a garden that will help improve motor skills; encourage communication and social skills; stimulate sensory awareness; and promote 'hands on' learning in your children. The course will involve developing a Sensory Garden at Carrickmacross Workhouse, and participants will be required to donate 3-6 hours per week over 6 weeks. Youth Support Workers Wanted Youth Advocate Programmes (YAP) are seeking male and female Advocates to support young people and their families in Cavan and Monaghan. Positions are for up to 15 hours per week over 6 months. FAMILY SUPPORT NETWORK We sometimes become overwhelmed responding to a family member or friend's addiction! We just need someone to listen in order to help us cope. FAMILY SUPPORT offers a confidential safe place to talk about our experience dealing with someone else's addiction. Our group meets every Tuesday night at 7.30pm to help each other gain skills and confidence to cope in these circumstances. Eucharistic Congress Details: The opening Liturgy of the 50th International Eucharistic Congress will take place on Sunday, 10th June in the Arena at the RDS on the Feast of Corpus Christi. The Mass will be celebrated with pilgrims gathering from all over Ireland and overseas. RTE will broadcast the opening Mass on television and online. The daily programme for the Congress from 10th to 16th June 2012 will take place in the RDS. Statio Orbis, the Liturgy on the Final day of the 50th International Eucharistic Congress will be celebrated in Croke Park on Sunday, 17th June 2012.
