The Deep End For This Very Reason I recently came across a couple of moving articles by writer and film director Simon Fitzmaurice as he reflects on his life with Motor Neurone Disease and his gradual acceptance of his condition. The following are a couple of excerpts: ‘I realised that I had a simple choice, I could accept that I had MND or I could give up. ‘They ask me why I want to live and the answer is the same as given by “mostly dead” Westly in The Princes Bride, when replying to the question, “ what's so important? What you got here that's worth living for?” “True Love” is his response. That's how I feel. Love for my family. Love for life in general. My love is undimmed, unbowed, unbroken.’ ‘I neither want nor need pity. I am full of hope. Hope is not about looking for a cure to a disease. Hope is a way of living. We often think we are entitled to a long and fruitful Coca-Cola life. But life is a privilege, not a right. I feel privileged to be alive. That's hope.’ we may not know how long we are here for, or for what purpose. Some of us will experience some suffering than others. Whatever our circumstances, we enter the final weeks of our Lenten journey confident that Jesus understands our struggles, and journeys with us.

Understanding and Praying Scripture every Monday night from 8.30 – 9.30pm in the room behind the sanctuary. We will listen and pray together. The power of God's Word to heal, strengthen, and give life is available to all. Come and learn to be open to the gifts of God's Word. All are welcome. DAFFODIL DAY 2012 A very sincere thank you for your wonderful response to our Daffodil Day Drive in Inniskeen and Kilanny last weekend. Thanks to our volunteers for giving of their time, energy and enthusiasm. €2360 has been lodged with The Irish Cancer Society. Our heartfelt thanks to you all for being such an important part of our Bunch of Ordinary Heroes!

The Inniskeen Parade Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank EVERYONE associated with preparing and organising the St. Patrick's Weekend Parade. Thank you to the ticket sellers, the ladies who baked buns, breads, cakes and jars of jam, those who made donations for the raffles and spot prizes. Everyone's efforts were truly greatly appreciated. As everyone can appreciate, the day went very well. A special thank you to all the participants of the parade - from the very young, to the old and the truly vintage :-), to all the committees, businesses and groups.

INNISKEEN RED CROSS Unfortunately we have to change the date for our TABLE QUIZ as we were clashing with the footballers race night . The table quiz will now be held on Friday 27th April at 8-30pm in Inniskeen Social Club. Table of four €30 .Currently we have 4 defibrillators in the parish . They are located in social club, football field, church and Blackstaff school. We have 15 people trained to use them and we need more Are you interested in training ? If so contact Tomas on 087 7657198.

Inniskeen Tidy Towns village clean up will commence week beginning 26th March, full bags of rubbish will be collected. If you need bags contact any committee member. Everyone's help would be greatly appreciated.

We are looking for people to host satellite games of seven or eight players at €10 per head in their own homes with the winner going forward to play in the final.
