Music Classes: Irish traditional music classes are resuming as follows: Fiddle classes - Killeenduff National School on Monday afternoon. Beginners and improvers for all instruments on Wednesdays from 5.15pm in Dromore West Community Centre Button accordion, drums and bodhran classes every Saturday in Dromore West Community Centre. Tireragh Community Support will shortly be conducting a survey around certain homes in the locality as part of their upcoming Outreach Project for men living in rural areas. Between 2 and 3 people will call with a questionnaire and will also provide information about services already on
offer. Participation in the survey is optional and all information gathered will be treated as confidential. The company also has a programme beginning on Tuesday October 18 called Independent Living Skills. This is designed specifically for men and covers topics such as cooking, sourcing grants for home improvement, managing finances etc. For more information on

The Skreen/Dromard & Aughris Coastcare Aware Group were the top award winners of the
Coastcare Of The Year for 2011.The award is part of An Taisce's Clean Coasts programme . The programme aims to encourage communities to learn about, manage , conserve and enhance Irelands costal resource. The Coastcare committee, would like to thank all the volunteers, local schools, sponsors, speakers and contributors who gave so generously of their time and input over the past 3 years to make this award possible. Volunteers are needed for the final Beach Clean Up of
the Year on Saturday October 1st at 2pm. Meeting place: Aughris, or Dunmoran, or Derk or Portavad. '

Evening Courses for Adults will be held in Colaiste Iascaigh on Tuesday evenings from 7-9pm starting on October 4.Classes will be held in Woodturning, Welding for beginners and intermediate, Computers for beginners , Guitars for beginners and Irish conversation classes. Fundraising is continuing for the Adam Kennedy Trust Fund with a Tireragh Walk on Sunday October 2 by Eddie Burke in Drag. The walk will begin at the Market Square in Ballina at 11am and will end at the community centre in Dromard via Enniscrone and Easkey. Give your support to Eddie and walk with him. Sponsorship cards are available locally. The Adam Kennedy Trust Fund was set up to meet the ongoing medical and educational needs of seven year old Adam.

St Farnans GAA club are holding a fundraising quiz in Templeterrace parish hall on Friday October 7. Your support will be appreciated.

St Patrick's GAA club will face Killeshin from Laois managed by former Republic of Ireland international Tony Cascarino as opponents in the semi final of Celebrity Bainisteoir. St Patricks lost home advantage but a big contingent are expected to travel to Laois for the game .A supporters bus will travel . There was no jackpot winner in the Easkey Community Council lotto draw on Friday night last . Numbers drawn were 7 19 22,27 bonus number 30. Winners of €25 were Dylan Sloyan, Michael Weir, Maureen Kelly, Jarlath Neary, Fiona Curley. Promoters prize Carmel Duffy. Next weeks jackpot will be € 2,300 and the draw will take place at the bingo session held in the Community Centre on Friday night at 8.30.
