Simon Ryan, whose family hails from Co. Tipperary, was born at Limerick Junction, spent his formative years in Thurles, before leaving to work in the UK as a young man. He settled back in Co. Kildare in the late 1960s/early 1970s. His love of drama and the arts started at a young age and is something that stayed with him all his life.

He made his stage debut at the tender age of eight as a cowboy in a national school Thurles production. His last performance on stage saw him play "Father Jack" in the much loved Brian Friel's "Dancing at Lughnasa in a Stacumny Players production, which took place in December 2010. He also had a lifelong interest and passion in Tipperary Hurling and served many years on the Tipperary Supporters Club.

All ticket proceeds and monies raised will go towards funding the centre, which provides a great service to Tipperary Town and the community at large.
