Tuesday 24th: Anniversary of the solemn inauguration in 2005 of Pope Benedict XVI as Supreme Pastor of the Church. His election took place 19th April 2005.

Third Sunday of Easter – 22nd April: FOCUS: Jesus died for our sins, & brought us the hope of new life by His Resurrection. – Jesus was put to death for our sins. His suffering & death were expiation for our sins & for those of the whole world. His Resurrection & Ascension brought to fruition His mission on earth: To open the gates of heaven, giving us the hope of eternal life with God.

SYMPATHY: We remember in our prayers at this time: Micheal Higgins, Cootehall, (brother of Brendan Higgins, Carniara). We extend our sympathy to the bereaved.
May the Souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.

The Phoenix Players: Are presenting their award winning production “The Cripple of Innismaan” in St Brigid's Hall Tubbercurry on April 24th & 25th at 8:30pm. They are performing again at the All Ireland Finals in Shercock, Cavan on 27th April. Tickets available at Doohan's, Gillispie's, & Barry's Pharmacy.

The Fr. Peyton Centre is organising a sponsored cycle again this year to raise funds for the continuation of the social & religious activities of the Memorial Centre. Last year the sponsored cycle from Dublin to Attymass was a great success. Over €20,000 was raised for the Centre, which enabled us to continue all our services & retain staff numbers. This year the sponsored cycle is from Attymass to Galway return on 29th & 30th June, overnight in Galway. If you are available to cycle we would very much appreciate your help in raising funds. G.A.A. NEWS: As part of Johnny Ruttledge's campaign in support of 'Club Hero' a Monster Clothes Sale will be held in St. Nathy's Hall on Sat & Sun 7th & 8th July. We would be very grateful if people would consider donating unwanted items of new/nearly new womens, mens, childrens & teenage clothing to this very worthy cause. The event will be widely advertised & we are hopeful that there will be a big turnout over the weekend. We would emphasise that we are asking only for new/nearly new items of clothing. A separate collection of old/worn clothing has been arranged for Mon 9th July at 12.00 noon from outside St. Nathy's Hall for which the club will receive payment. We would ask people to please hold off on any impending clear out of any unwanted/worn clothing until that date so that the Club will reap the benefit. A meeting will be held on Monday the 23rd April at 9.30 p.m. in St. Nathy's Hall to set plans in motion & all are welcome. Club Hero Cycle Saturday 28th April 11am: This cycle is part of Padraig McHugh's C/M GAA 'Club Hero' campaign. It will be the ideal warm up to the Sligo An Post Cycle, starting & finishing in Lavagh village on Saturday April 28th. The full route will be 80km. Registration on the day from 9.15am with entry €20. The Cycle can also be joined in Coolaney, Cloonacool & Curry €10. It will depart at 11am Sharp! Club Hero Rock Gig: As part of Johnny Ruttledge's Club Hero campaign there will be a rock gig held in The Knocknashee Inn on Sunday May 6th 10pm. Performing will be two of the finest musicians around: Shane McGowan & Seamie O'Dowd. All welcome along for what promises to be a brilliant event.
Club Lotto: The numbers drawn were 4, 5, 23 & 35. There was no Jackpot winner. Congrats to Richie Ruttledge who matched three numbers & won the monthly prize €200. The jackpot now stands at €5700. Thank you once again to all who have signed up for the lotto for 2012. Your support is appreciated.

Have you a Sewing Machine Idle? The FRC has a new women's group which meets every Thursday morning in the centre. The group work on various crafts, knitting, crochet etc as well as a chat & a cuppa. The group would like to start some patchwork & are asking if anyone has a sewing machine that is not is use anymore if they would be interested in donating it to them for future work. Also the group will take donations of material, wadding for quilts, cards, wool etc. all would be much appreciated.

I.E.C. Tickets for the Statio Orbis in Croke Park (Final Mass of the 50th I.E.C. 2012) To ensure that every parish is represented at the Statio Orbis Mass at Croke Park on the 17th June organisers have distributed tickets to every diocese in the country. If you wish to attend this Mass only please contact your parish office. There are also 30,000 tickets for the Statio Orbis available for those who book for a minimum of 3 days for the events that take place ifrom 10th to 16th June. There are three ways to book:: 1. Choir practise in Mullinabreena church Wed 25th April at 8pm. All members are asked to attend.
