Conways of Ballycumber

(john boyle conway)
Hello, from Seville, Spain

Does anyone know of a local genealogy forum, or similar, in the Ballycumber area?
I have almost traced my family back to Michael Conway, hanged by the English in Ballycumber in 1798 (!), but have one or two bits to fill in. Also, can anyone confirm that it was in Prospect House that Conway, Feeney and Daly met, and were subsequently betrayed by Burke and Hume?

Isn't life interesting? Who would have imagined search from Seville, through Dundee, Scotland, to Ballycumber!!!
All the best,
John

UK - Cork Connections

(Liz English)
I tried Google today to see if Doneraile, Co Cork RC church had an online newsletter and was delighted to find it does. My mother comes from there and will be thrilled to get the print-out.

She will genuinely value being able to catch up all such news.

GAA Notes - Underage Appeal

(Deborah Gately. Cork)
I think this is a great way for the Parish to get match fixtures, results. Also the children are very interested in finding out about their own age group and love to read about their matches.

I see a secondary school in Trim use this site to post reports of Camogie
games.
What a great way to proactively promote a school- and the game!

Community Focus

(Liam Galvin)
Wow!
In a world where websites are all about 'me me', it's wonderful to see a
website that is focused on the community.
A refreshing and very welcome service.
I hope it is a great success.
