Thumbs Up From Tallanstown
(Tallanstown Co Louth)Tallanstown is a small village in County Louth with a tremendous community spirit.
From the outset, our Tidy Towns group have used MyLocalNews.ie to showcase the village and to promote our regular updates. When we won the SuperValu National Tidy Towns Award in 2010, we were very proud to place all the photos from the celebration on the site.
Amazingly, our group alone has over 5,000 hits on our page.
The GAA club notes, the Parish Newsletter, etc also appears on the site, helping locals and those living away from home to keep in touch.
It’s a great service in that it connects all strands of the community.
That is very important for us.
